Is it possible for prism layers to decrease in size as you move further from the wall?
I have chosen a given near wall thickness to achieve a desired y+. With the total thickness/number of layer settings my prism layers are of equal size and provide decent resolution of the flow in the high gradient area. However, If I would want to achieve even higher resolution I would need thinner prism layers without changing the thickness of the near wall layer (To keep y+ the same). This would mean that the first layer would be relatively thick, with the layers afterwards being smaller. 1. Does doing this make any sense? 2. Is it possible? Thanks, Jack |
