Dear Foamers,
Recenly I am working on the tutorial case DTCHull and related cases: DTCHullMoving and DTCHullWave. All cases can be ran smoothly and from my point of view, the hull is fixed in DTCHull case while the hull can moves along z direction and rotate along y direction in DTCHullMoving case and DTCHullWave case ( these 2 DOF can be seen from file dynamicMeshDict located in constant folder) Now, I want to fix the hull and then run it in wave condition(DTCHullWave). To achieve this goal, I have attempted to change the dynamicMeshDict file or even delete it, but unfortunately, all simulations are crashed after a short time or long time. Based on the dynamicMeshDict file (attached), I have tried to remove joint part or restraints part but it still doesn't work . Please help me to solve this problem! Btw: Since I am using OpenFOAMv6, there is no interDyFoam in this version becoz it has been merged into interFoam. And I cannot find too much online material about DTCHull, DTCHullWave tutorial, I am using this for understanding dynamicMeshDict (http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kur...dyDynamics.pdf). Any further discussion will be appreciated! Best regards, Tony Last edited by zyfsoton; October 17, 2020 at 18:27. |
