Hi,
I am modeling methane - air non premixed swirl flame. I am using non-premixed flamelet approach along with soot using one step method. I know that fuel mixture fraction at fuel inlet is 1. but what is soot mixture fraction at fuel inlet and air inlet respectively. I hope I will get valuable suggestions in this regard.

thank you

Hi ARAVIND, you do not need to assign any soot mole fraction in the fuel and air inlet, or just assign 0 because soot is only formed during combustion. If you include a soot formation model in the CFD software, it will calculated based on your local mixture fraction and temperature etc.
