Hi everyone,
I have meshed a blade in STARCCM+ while using the curve control that includes the featured edges (after computing the curves). Further, I tried to change the surface curvature Pts i.e. 72, 90, 120, 144 out of Max. Pts 200. Also, used both distribution modes in Prism Layer Mesher i.e. Hyperbolic Tangent and Geometric Progression. Refined the mesh, it gives me the Y+ between 1-5 everywhere except those curved edges and the tip of the blade with high skewness (refer the attachments). Maximum boundary skewness angle = 8.4891171903e+01 deg Maximum skewness angle = 8.7806950619e+01 deg (for entire domain) Could you please suggest how to improve the mesh quality on these curved parts? P.S: I am using Surface Remesher+Polyhedral+Prism Layer Mesher. However, surface curvature refinement is enabled in surface remesher. Recently, tried with field function refinement but it gets stuck at "getting candidate vertices". Thanks for your time. Best regards, |
