melj is on a distinguished road
Hello

I am working on bubble columns that deal with shear-thinning non-Newtonian fluids. It is expected that bubble velocity increases with superficial gas velocity (or flow rate) at inlet. However, in my model the time averaged bubble velocity on a plane increases with superficial gas velocity until a velocity of 0.1 m/s after which it starts reducing. I am not able to figure out the reason.

Could anyone please let me know as to which modeling aspect would help me increase the time-averaged velocity of bubbles in Fluent?

thank you
