Hi,
I am running a case study analysing buoyancy driven flows in a heated square cavity using two different turbulence models. the BC are a fixed temp hot wall (LHS) and a fixed temp cold wall (RHS) with a linear temperature across the horizontal walls for both cases. My mesh is 250x250x1 for both cases also. I have managed to obtain proper results for a k-w SST model however I am struggling to get convergence with respect to to my residuals when I use EBRSM. The Alpha & Energy residuals do not converge and I am also looking at the vertical boundary layer & Turbulent kinetic energy to assess whether convergence has been achieved. I have refined my mesh but I still am having the same issue, whereby the energy and Alpha residuals don't change much. I have attached an image of the residuals for this case. The same BC were used for both turbulence models, so I'm not sure how the BC could be implemented incorrectly for this case. if anyone can possibly help it would be highly appreciated! |

What numerical schemes do you use?
