Unusual oscillation in my MHD simulation result

Hello,
I am now working on a code solving a MHD equation with Newton-Krylov method. The code based on finite difference method and I selected 2-order central scheme for spacial discretization. The simulation result seems ok in first 500 step, but a "so ugly oscillation" appears while the computation continue(shown in the attachment). So, is the central difference not an appropriate scheme for the nonlinear hyperbolic problem and caused the terrible result for the numerical dispersion? diver.gif Thanks a lot. |
