Hi Everyone,
I am Pavithra, a masters student from NIT Trichy, INDIA. I am working on a project on boiling in the presence of electric field. I am new to CFD. I just have understanding of Continuity, momentum equations and energy equations. I have understood the discretisation using FVM approach. I have understood the central difference, upwind, hybrid and quick schemes and discretisation of 1-D and 2-D steady and unsteady diffusion and advection-diffusion equations, checkerboard problem and SIMPLE algorithm in a staggered grid. In addition to these concepts, I have practiced simulations using ANSYS Fluent on forced, mixed and natural convection around a bluff body. Eulerian-Eulerian, VOF and mixture models for multiphase simulations. I have practised these simulations with understanding of the governing equations for these models. I have also simulated the boiling process. Now, I want to incorporate EHD in my simulation. I am stuck here. I do not know how to move forward. I understand that because of Electric field, new source terms for the body force will be added to the momentum equations. But, I do not know how to incorporate them in ANSYS Fluent. Kindly, please give me a direction on how to move forward with my problem. Thank You. Last edited by Pavithra; April 11, 2019 at 23:45. |
