Hi
I successfully implemented the source panel method over the last few weeks but I have trouble implementing the "constant vortex panel method" (no sources, only vortices, with constant strength over one panel). The problem is that the calculations seem to be similar to the source panel method but computing the derivative of theta with regards to the normal of the surface is a real trouble. Unfortunately, I don't find a lot of papers with the constant vortex panel method; do you have some in mind? Sincerely PS : A lot of people use the source + vortex panel method or the second order vortex panel method; I would like to use the constant vortex panel method without sources first even if it's not optimal so that I can compare the different methods. |
