I want to compare my numerical result of friction factor vs Reynolds number for Plane Poiseuille flow with analytical result. but I found the Moody diagram for pipe flow but not any data about the channel flow. Please anyone can share any link, book or paper containing this? Thank you!

Hi,

The first part of your question is trivial, in the sense that if you know the analytical expression for the velocity, than you can readly produce the plot by your self. As you know, this make sense until the flow is laminar. For turbulent flows in plane channels you have a data base and a paper (Direct numerical simulation of turbulent channel flow up to Reτ=590 by Moser et. and the classical paper of Kim), but the data limit to 3 or 4 Re_tau. In any case you will have more references inside those papers.

DNS for such problem is now extended to Re_tau = 2000. However, the solution is for the time-evolving BL, not for the spatially evolving. I don't know if the original question is about the function cf(Re_x).

Wow Re_tau 2000 looks tasty Yes natually if the plot requested is cf(Re_x), it is another story, but as soon I have understood from the question, he would like to do a "Moody chart" for the plain poiseuille.
