Coeffs vs actual perf

Hi everyone,
I have simulated 2 wing profiles with the following results for the same AoA: Profile A: Cl=0.604886007462687 Cd=0.175358242288557 Cl/Cd=3.44943014692933 Thicker profile, with more surface Profile B: Cl=0.551782801492538 Cd=0.171784096517413 Cl/Cd=3.21207150533056 Thinner profile, less surface While testing in flight, the profile B is 15km/h slower than the profile A for the same glide. Is it something I could have anticipated from the upper results? Thanks! |
