There is a room at 30 degrees Celsius and the ambient temperature is 20 degrees Celsius.I want to know how much mass transfer takes place when I open the door of my room.
I want to model this scenario in CFD.
I am relatively new to this field, it would be of great help if someone could help me. Thanks in advance.

You want to model the entire building or just the effect? The effect you can model as boundary layer problem between two fluids of different temperature, densities, etc. You are basically doing a laminar natural convection simulation, i.e. laminar flow with gravity enabled.

You need to decide on your model, the geometry etc. Decide on what software/solver you will use. Then you make a mesh. You also need to decide on what equation of state you want to use: ideal gas or non-ideal gas, dry vs wet air etc.

Thank you so much for the reply Mr.Lucky Tran.Gave me an idea what I should look into.
I want to model the entire building i.e. just a cubical volume with a door surrounded by the ambient (bigger cubical). I am considering ideal gas here.Should this work ? I am planning to use Ansys Fluent to solve.
Any further ideas and details would be of great help. Please kindly excuse if my questions were silly/basic.
