Hello everyone,

the thing I am wondering about is: why do I get oscillating residuals when imposing periodic boundary conditions?

The residuals do decrease over time but oscillating. So I have not a real problem with convergence, just wondering about the reason behind it! Can someone explain it to me? Thanks.

I have not found anything about it online and tbh I din't look for it on books so sorry if it is a silly question.

I faced the same problem and it seems no one has a solution. Have you figured out what is the problem since it was posted two years ago
