Hi,
I am simulating a set of moving objects using GMO model of FLOW-3D. When I check the simulation I notice a penetration between the objects. I think this is not good. But I have activated the collission model and set the global values for coefficient of restitution and for coefficient of friction referenced to the materials that I used in the simulation( PeAD and Carbon Steel ). My unique block mesh has a total of 1.5 million of cells generated by Non-conforming model type. In the Collision Properties I repeated the same values of coefficient of restitution and for coefficient of friction for each object.( Can I do this or not? Can I leave in blanck and use the global values or use this values and not the global values?) I have two materials interacting ( PeAD and Carbon Steel ) with each other. Could this be causing the penetration problem or my mesh resolution is also yet poor? Can my coefficient of restitution is wrong? Could my STL models have some problem? Thanks for some help. |
