Hi,

I am working on a 3-D subsonic flow wing cfd analysis with the following data:

chord length=0.1m
half wing span=0.6m
Vel-infi=15m/s
Re=980,000

I have created a domain size with reference to the tutorial :https://confluence.cornell.edu/displ...ow+Over+a+Wing

the boundary conditions are:

1. velocity inlet
2.pressure far-field
3.symmetry
4.pressure outlet

I have made a C-mesh with a radius of 2m and back extrusion of 3m. I am getting a mesh size of 40L. with 12 layers of inflation within a thickness of 0.002m.

It is a turbulent flow model.

It would really be helpful if somebody can guide me on the kind of turbulent model I should opt for to get good results.

The required model is having a turbulent intensity =0.05. I have no clue how to calculate turbulent viscosity...

I have tried running it with default K-epsilon/S-A model, but the residuals are not converging. nor is the cl monitor.

At past i have worked on hypersonic flow Fluent analysis but I have very little Fluent modeling knowledge for low speed flow.

It would be really good if somebody can give give some advice as to how I should proceed with the problem statement...

Thanks

Thanks for the reply....

I tried calculating the required Y+ value for this model through some online calculator but it was asking for boundary layer thickness(which i don't have)

any idea what should be Y+ value for this model?
