Hello all,
I am a beginner in CFD. I am trying to simulate an orifice with a vane pump. The volume flow output of the vane pump is 1100ml/min rotating at 1250rpm. The inlet of the orifice is at Atm pressure. The orifice dia is 1.3mm. I am trying to find the suction pressure caused due to the pump and the orifice. Experimentally, it is found to be a gauge pressure of -0.8 bar. I am using Solidworks flow simulation for this problem. When I simulate the orifice and the pump separately, I am getting perfect values. The pressure outside the orifice is 0.2 Bar (absolute value) and 1.2 bar at the pump outlet. Problem I am facing - The pressure at the outlet of the orifice is at 1.03 bar. (No reduction in pressure) I have attached the photo for the system. Thank you for all your help. Regards Venkat |
