Hi all!
I'm quite new in the area and therefore don't know much about it for now. Basically, what I would like to do is to test a range of 3-d CFD packages against river flood and physical data so as to assess their realism and also to investigate circulation patterns particularly at river bends and on the interface btw main channel and flood plain. Therefore I have three questions to address: (1) Would you know what would be the best packages adapted to my case? to river and coastal engineering? (2) Could you give me advice in terms of CFD, Finite Element and Finite Volume readings (books or articles in my area particularly)? (3) Did any of you already applied CFD to river and coastal engineering (particularly for flood analysis purposes)? Thanks for your help and to Jonas for the site. Herve. |
