What are the trade magazines, trade shows, and trade associations in the CFD industry? (We are trying to get an overview of the market, especially of the subsegment of visualization of CFD analyses.) Thanks in advance.

generally info on CFD technology is contained in journals such as journal of Computational Fluid Dynamics etc. visit your nearby university and look in their engineering library. also many CFD articles are found in general purpose/industry specific journal such as the ASME's Journal of Turbomachinery or the AIAA's Journal of Aircraft. i don't know of any "CFD EXPO" but there probably are conferences on CFD all the time. you'd be well served by contacting the ASME or AIAA to find out about upcoming CFD conferences. however these aren't shows where commercial vendors have demos and boths mostly there'll be seminars and presentations given in cutting edge research being done in the area. also as far as i know there is no CFDers union. in fact this forum is the closest thing to that and only a relatively small number of us post here frequently
