Hi all,

I have a question about data interpretation. I'm working on a single rotating wing case. The wing rotates in a Cartesian frame, so I get flow data in a fixed Cartesian frame. Many people fix the wing at a point, and rotate the flow using a cylindrical grid. But that kind of setup is just not possible in my CFD program.

Likewise, I would like to rotate my existing flow data, so it is equivalent to the case such as stationary wing and rotating flow. I tried to rotate the flow data back using rotation matrix, but some data are out of range, and many don't have corresponding indices. I have attached simple diagrams about it. Grey dots are originial Cartesian frame and yellow dots are rotated frame in 7.2° and 14.4°

Can anyone help with this?

Thank you,

Carl
