I am simualting a simple geometry ( a cylinder ) in Fluent.
I apply a step pressure of 7500 pascals at the inlet and the outlet is set to pressure outlet and the walls have no-slip condition. In my case I wanted to find the pressure wave velocity of the fluid (water in my case). Is there a way to compute that using the functionalities in Fluent other than inputting an user defined function. Kindly let me know. |

it simply propagates at the sound velocity of water

So all I need to ensure is that the velocity in the cylindrical pipe equals the velocity of the sound in water.
