I am faced with a weird problem. Either my science is not right or something. I did a fluid analysis in Ansys cfx and then using Ansys static structural, I am trying to map fluid loads onto structural part to see deformation and other stuff like that. Static structural is able to map fluid loads. There is one minor problem. It says zero percent of mechanical nodes were mapped to the cfd surface but then it says that it was mapped to the closest node so that is okay. But the magnitudes of loads that were mapped are a magnitude less and are essentially constant. I have attached two images of pressure and stress distribution. Anybody, any idea, why would ansys mechanical do this? or Is it doing right and it is just my science which is wrong??
Many thanks in advance for your comments. |
