Hello,
I am trying to generate a CFD code that can solve a 1D Axysymmetric laminar diffusion flame but need guidance on couple issues that i point below. I am trying to implement real-gas thermodynamics that changes the mixture properties about which i also need assistance; 1 - The calculation of specific entahalpy of species in energy equation. For ideal gas simulations, NASA Polynomials is the way to go but with real gas extension, i cant seem to find the correct model. 2 - How do i implemet chemical Reactions ? I know that the source term in the species conservation equation is net production rate that is calculated from chemical reactions but the order of implementation is quite confusing for me. Provided that grid is small enough that all reactions are captured, would it be logical to assume that all the production/destruction of each species occurs on each step? Is there a probability that i should include that decides whether or not a chemical reaction occurs ? I appriciate any response/guide/textbook advice and so on. Regards, Alper |
