Hello all,
I am presently engaged in writing a code on generating initial velocity for homogeneous isotropic turbulence by Rogallo's procedure. Currently I am stuck with strange results from my code and it would be nice if you help me on this regard My question is what is the term 'k' in the rogallo's formula?? In my code i have k = k1+k2+k3 which I am not sure about and since the 'k' range specified by the assumed energy spectrum has not been used at all which in my case it ranges from kmin = 3 and kmax = 8 Secondly, substituting the suitable parameters and getting the velocities in all three directions u,v and w . what is the procedure to enforce conjugate symmetry such that I get real velocities in physical space?? Thank you |
