socreate is on a distinguished road
Hi,

The geometry is like this: in a cylinder, there is a impeller with rotation and downward translation, and gas flow is introduced from the bottom (velocity inlet). Now, I have two ideas but not sure which one is better:

1) use MRF/SRF for impeller (rotation+translation) while layering dynamic mesh for the bottom interface of the zone which wraps the impeller. There maybe a problem as fluent documents say there should no normal motion to the interface of SF/MRF.

2) use MRF/SF for impeller (only rotation) while layering dynamic mesh for the velocity inlet boundary. I am puzzled of this one. Are there some problems if I use specify the velocity inlet boundary as the dynamic mesh.

Are there are other method for this problem.

Look forwarding to your help. Thank you very much.

Best wishes,
