Hi,

I have been simulating low Re flows ( ReTheta ~ 2500 ) over a ZPG flat plate. I saw that neither the k-omega nor the SST (in OpenFOAM) is able to give the correct log law profile nor the correct Cf. Has anyone seen this before? Are there any references that discuss this behaviour of the models?
I just wanted to check if I am doing something wrong!
I have tried the two different boundary conditions : the default wilcox omega boundary condition with the 6 *() and the one suggested by menter 60*() for both the models.

Thanks!

Are you using the fully turbulent models? because you should try transitional models. " Prediction of transitional and fully turbulent flow using an alternative to the laminar kinetic energy approach" is a very good transitional model
