Hello, I am a beginner in CFD. I would like to know what is the difference between the Lax method and the MacCormack method solution on a one dimiensional problem. I would also like to know how CFL and the aritificial viscosity coefficient effects the results.
Many thanks. Aeronaut2000@hotmail.com |

You might try one of the books listed at http://capella.colorado.edu/~laney/otherbooks.html. The decriptions and tables at the bottom of the page will help you determine which books cover the particular subjects you are interested in. From your message, I might guess that you want the most basic treatment available, in which case I would suggest John Anderson's book.
