Hi !
I'm a Mechanical Engineer working for a small company. My company do food processing equipment manufacturing and currently in an R&D mode on a new particle convection blower design. We need to move the fine powder from our grinder to a cyclone tank more efficiently than before. Our old blower is Radial Blade, Centrifugal type but it its very inefficient. Currently we are experimenting with the Blower Case (Involute case) and would like to see the flow modeled in a CFD system. So, I'm looking for an easy to use "free" software to model it. My experience in CFD is virtually nil but I do have some ANSYS experience (Temperature analysis) and CATIA during the college days. So, can you guys please recommend a CFD software (Windows 7). |

I have been doing some research on this and I think meshing is the most complex part.
So, how about cfMesh (GPL) ? Anyway, this is the workflow I have in the mind! 1. Make the model in Solidworks and export as *.stl 2. cfMesh meshing 3. Open FOAM and then Para view to view the result ? |
