Hello Everyone,
It's been a difficult task for me to mesh vortex generators over an airfoil using ICEM CFD. Here are some of the steps that I have followed: 1. C type computational domain 2. O - grid around the airfoil (span wise thickness of 0.36 X chord ) with pair of vortex generators for my first study case 3. Blocking the vortex generators in order to mesh the sector type vortex generators. 4. Collapsing the front vertex to get a single triangular edge from the rectangular block created around the vortex generators 5. But the back side of the vortex generators can't be collapsed so during mesh generation they remain to be the source of the problem So I would really appreciate if someone suggest the right way of addressing the problem as my method is not producing an acceptable mesh. I thank you in advance for your kind help!! Sanuka!! |
