Roule is on a distinguished road
Hi guys

In fluids and sediment transport, we have a lot of dimensionless variables:

Group 1 focusing majorly on particle characteristics:
particle Reynolds number = f(settling velocity, particle diameter)
densimetric Froude number = f(particle relative density, diameter)
shields parameter = f(particle relative density, diameter)

Group 2 focusing on bulk or global flow variables:
Reynolds number = f(flow velocity, hydraulic radius)
Froude number = f(flow velocity, flow depth)

So my question is:
Is there any non-dimensional parameter which combines both the particle and global flow variables, such that it is a function of all 4 variables:
f(particle relative density, particle diameter, flow velocity, flow depth)?

Any views..

Thanks a lot.
