area weighted average or mass weighted average -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

sa har Member sa har Join Date: Aug 2014 Posts: 34 Rep Power: 12	i simulate natural convection in air channel,it is incompressible,and i want to find velocity in outlet. when i report velocity of mass weighted average and area weighted average, they are not same and they have different.what is correct mass weighted average or area weighted average?
