simulate propagation of Ultrasound waves in water

Hi Foamers!
Hope you are all doing great I am intending to simulate the propagation of a ultrasonic wave emitted by a transducer in water pipe (first for zero flow condition and then for different inlet velocities and temperatures). The transducer emittes ultrasonic waves in water, then the waves are reflected on a metal ring and are finally captured by a second transducer (V-Path). after a given time the second transducer should do the same.(I've attached a picture that shows the simulation done with a commercial program). I would appreciate any suggestion to handle this problem in OpenFoam. Screenshot from 2015-11-26 13-24-41.jpg Best regards. Houssam. |
