cfdopenfoam is on a distinguished road
greetings to all.

the PISO and SIMPLE algorithms are merged to the PIMPLE tactics to handle large time step simulation for transient, incompressible flows.

i am very interested in this PIMPLE solution and i am searching theories and papers on this topic. unfortunately, i found few details about it. the basic idea of PIMPLE is to step time by PISO and iterate by SIMPLE within a large time step. but how is this working on the pressure-velocity coupled N-S systems? and how a relatively large time step is handled?

i want the details of solution procedure of the PIMPLE. so could someone kindly offer some theories or papers or thesis or any other materials about it?

thanks in advance.
