how to check conservation of energy of numerical results

How can I check that my numerical results (isothermal problem) have conserved energy?
I have read a few book but still not sure. Thanks. |

You need to give more information on what equations you are solving.
Assuming you are doing something like a continuous flow problem you can check total energy at the inlet and outlet. |

Thanks. it's a 1D wave propagation in a fluid with periodic BC's.
