farah is on a distinguished road
Hi
I want to do a simulation of phase change material and nanoparticle using either fluent or CFX but i start to do it by Fluent with tick the melting/solidification. For the case of (nanoparticles+ PCM) i assume i will need three phases as i have solid phase, liquid phase, and the effect of nanoparticle as a third phase, but i am not sure because the melting/solidification should be for two phases already ! if this is correct and i need 3 phase so do i have to put the thermophysical properties of each phases separately?. Regarding the published papers most of them used the model VOF but i am not sure of the details such as the volume fraction cutoff i assume i need to change it to (10^-9) because my scale of the nanoparticle is in nano-meter scale and what should i consider also? note that i need to know the solidification time and the melting time also?
Any help will so useful to me. Thanks in advance.
