Hi CFD guys,
I am long-time fluent user and love it. But there are bunch of CFD solvers out there these days. I wanted to try some of them. But I want certain features in it: chemical species transport and reaction and function form of boundary condition (like User-Defined-Function in Fluent). For me these two features are must. So what other CFD solver can handle these? I have very limited experiences with STAR-CCM+ and OpenFOAM. What else? Thank you, |

From what I remember, Fluent is the bees-knees when it comes to chemical species
transport. If it is working well for you, I would not suggest switching and learning a new software package unless there is some licensing issue (or some other issue) which is pushing the change. |

Like you said, I have licensing issue. my new company does not have Fluent license. they have used something else which is immature (actually impossible) regarding chemical reaction. I know Fluent is good but also $$$. So I am looking for cost effective way to get CFD solver with chemical species/reaction and feature like UDF in Fluent. |
