I am solving a 2D convection diffusion equation using Finite Volume method. I would like to know which scheme is best for doing this problem. Can I use Quick scheme to solve them accurately.

you can solve with many different schemes such as QUICK, Second order upwind. but if you want to solve accurately, you should try High Resolution Schemes. (SMART, STOIC etc.)

Thanks for the reply. I would be solving them using Finite volume methods writing my own codes. I want to know whether the SMART,STOIC schemes take too much computational time. Further could you throw some light on these two schemes.
