All,
I am relatively a beginner in CFD and would need help setting up a problem. I am modelling a valve chatter problem in 2D of a check valve (Star CCM+). Basically, there is a ball inside a valve that moves randomly due to the pressure build up due to fluctuating inlet velocity. Of course, there will be mesh morphing/deformation. Assuming I know the inputs and outputs of the problem. What is the best approach to defining the ball motion. Is it a user code, field function...? I would really appreciate any help my way.
