Hi Guys,
I am solving for flow analysis in waterjacket in IC engine. I am studying, "effect of different turbulence model on flow physics in waterjacket". I have simulated this with RNG k-epsilon and EARSM k-epsilon turbulence model. Results are more or less same only the simulation time for RNG k-epsilon is 22.4 hrs and EARSM k-epsilon is 14.3 hrs, both simulations are run for the same number of iteration on same parallel processes. Can anyone tell me why there is so big simulation time difference??? Any guess? |

linear solver if you can report the time taken by pressure solver you will see that one takes longer to converge due to the reasons that viscosity (how it converges) to is different. You can also say report average and min max of viscosity to see the difference. |
