LES with different filter

Default LES with different filter

Dear all:

I study LES for a long time but the filter in LES is still

confused to me. Generally, the different filters for LES

have to induce different results. However, the filter

N-S equations are always the same in literature. From above,

I could not understand the effects for different filter in

LES.

The equation will always be the same. The methods vary.

e.g. Navier-Stokes equations do not change, but there are a variety of numerical methods to obtain solutions.
