Boundary layer after separation

Default Boundary layer after separation

Hi,does anybody know that if a boundary layer separates due to adverse pressure gradient or something, whether the boundary layer after separation grows thiner or thicker, and how does the positon of y+=1 change? Thank you for your reply!

ver important question. I think after seperation y+ values changes very drastacally
