Tetrahedral and hexahedral mesh based on FVM

Hi All,
I try to employ Finite Control Volume (FVM) based on SIMPLE to solve incompressible flow over tetrahedral and hexahedral meshes. A code developed works well only for hexahedral mesh, not for tetrahedral mesh. The code has been written referring to Freziger and Peric's book "Computational methods for fluid dynamics". It is found that the convergence condition (of the code) for most tetras is not good. Here is my question: When FVM is based on tetras, are there some specially treatments necessary to gradient, pressure correction etc.? Your hints and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Kuang |
