radiation flux rejected from surface

I am simulating hypersonic flow(M = 7) over a blunt body. pressure farfield BCs is applied, and the walls of blunt body have heat flux BCs (q = 0). The top surface of the blunt body is subjected to radiation efflux (heat rejected in the form of radiation) the governing equation is [q(convection) - q(radiation) = 0] it will give me the temperature on the surface. I have used P1 model to consider the radiation and give internal emmsivity = 0.84, and compare the temperature with surface without radiation. the temperature is less in case of with radiation. but in postprocessing there is option called radiation incident, when i plot radiation incident there is a significant value. but in my problem there is a possibility of only radiation emission not incident.
so can any one tell me what is this incident radiation. can i consider it as a amount of heat flux incident on the surface which is responsible for temperature generation. if i am wrong with the procedure used to consider radiation, then can u please tell me the right way to consider radiation(rejection) thanks in advance |
