procrastination + internet + free gnuplot = picture worth ?

I often browse the jobs database on cfd-online. There is a nice feature called News and updates that regularly lists new/updated jobs. So, grep'ing like crazy, I got gnuplot to draw a picture of the activities here. The result is a clear trend of growing activity/opportunity in CFD. Based on the 4.5 odd years of updates, the growth is ~40% per year.

This mirrors a Gartner prediction I saw a couple of years ago that said CFD software market growth is estimated at ~35% per year going through 2012.

The picture is hosted at flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28562234@N03/2666597129/

i am not a vendor and this is not a prediction of the future - just an estimate. use the info at your own risk.
