Hello,
The example on DEFINE_UDS_UNSTEADY (http://www.arc.vt.edu/ansys_help/flu..._unsteady.html) has both the *su and *apu terms multiplied by elemental volumes. I however have a steady source term and so am using DEFINE_SOURCE. I also have DEFINE_DIFFUSIVITY where diffusion coefficient=1 in my case. I'm confused about how Fluent handles the difference in units. I have tried the following 3 cases 1. I multiply the diffusion coefficient and the source term in DEFINE_SOURCE by elemental volume. 2. I multiply only the source term in DEFINE_SOURCE by elemental volume. 3. Multiplication by volume is only in DEFINE_UDS_UNSTEADY. My results in all the 3 cases are not correct. Though the trends of the graphs i plot are same in some cases, the numerical values are 2-3 orders of magnitude less than the actual solution. I'm unable to find out where am i going wrong. Thanks in advance |
