hi everybody,
I just wanted to know the role (at present) and the future of CFD in Chemical Engineering. Is it worth jumping into this field as i am a student (chemical engineering). |

Hi Tai
Future of CFD in Chemical Engineering is mainly focus on Multiphase flow and Turbulence flow development in chemical process. In multiphase flows different interphase models between phases is important. in future different interphase drag force models between dispersed phases should be considered In case of turbulent flows, Large Eddy Simulation based simulation should be considered. At Present Most of CFD studies is mainly focused about hydrodynamics studies and in future it should be extended to other transport phenomenona like mass transfer, heat transfer and reaction CFDUSERIN |
