HI,
I am wondering if there is any easy way to estimate air speed with natural convection. a hot vertical plate (500 degree C) sitting inside a closed domain. Initially the close domain is at 300 degree C. The close domain is a lot bigger than the hot plate. The walls of the close domain is fully insulated. Is there an easy way to estimate the air velocity near the hot plate? Thanks! Pei |

Hi,
thanks for the reply! I already have results from CFD. I would like to do a quick check to see if the results are even reasonable. Pei |
