CFD beginner is on a distinguished road
Dear all,

I have recently started in the CFD world by the hand of Flow Simulation Solidworks. I have done some exercises but not so much, so I am still far from being even amateur.
We, in general, work with thermohydraulic systems and soon we are going to start working with Thermal Energy Storage Systems based on porous medium and we are considering the possibility of using other software such as ANSYS Fluent.

Can someone tell me what are in general the biggest differences between both? Or advice me any document where these differences are analized?

Can someone also explain me the differences of both softwares in the simulation of systems based on porous medium?

Thanks in advance,
Best regards,
