Hi ,guys
There are some problems in my simulation of detonation with hydrocarbon fuels(vapor) and oxygen,I cannot detonate the mixture even with changing the activation energy of the mechanisms proposed by Westbrook.()So I wonder if someone can give some idea about the reacting mechanisms of hydrocarbon fuels which are appropriate for the detonation simulation, especially for the heptane.
thank you
best wishes.

Did you try the latest heptane mechanism from LLNL ?

Thank u very much. But this is the detailed reaction mechanism,it is very difficult for me to use it in my code.

What kind of code are you using? If you are into kinetics maybe you can try to reduce the mechanism to suit your needs.
