Hi Everyone,
I am an Engineering Student currently working on a interior flow visualization project that involves the use of a mannequin. After creating the geometry using Inventor 2015, it appears that there is a bug in extruding sketches. Somehow, a thin plate appeared right around the leg area (in red in the picture), that I cannot seem to get rid of. When I attempt to remove the thin plate by extruding cuts through it, Inventor tells me that no meaningful edits are being made. Anyone have some tips on how to remove the plate? Is this something that I should fix right away, or would it be easier to fix this in something like ANSYS DesignModeler further down the workflow? Thanks! --UPDATE-- Resolved: For posterity, it turns out that cutting perpendicular across the leg can remove the feature that contains the plane. Then it is a simple matter of re-extruding the leg to fix the issue. Last edited by StarCFD; February 25, 2015 at 03:12. Reason: Resolved |
