Hi,

I am looking for papers and research about multiple solutions of room air flow, i.e. low frequency changes in the flow field with symmetric boundary conditions. Would be nice, if anyone has any info!?

Regards! Fab

No idea, anyone!? Maybe similar phenomena exist in other enclosures!?

Greetings! Fabian

Could you please specify your problem. If you mean the model of inviscid flow and low velocities, then the flow is governed by equations of elliptic type for which mathematicians proved the uniqueness of the solution.

No they haven't. If you mean the inviscid irrotational flow then the solution is unique but otherwise it's not. The counter example is simply to assume a constant, non-zero, vorticity and solve the resulting boundary value problem.

For viscous flow in a steady state (which is also an elliptic problem) Taylor-Couette flow is also an example of non-uniqueness.
